Co-Designing a Physical Activity Support Program

The purpose of the research is for study participants and researchers to work together in order to design a new type of physical activity program for adults living with chronic pain that is not from cancer.

The program will include different types of physical activities that study participants identify as being of interest, motivating, and realistic for adults living with chronic pain to do.  The program will also include the design of a realistic educational part, designed to help adults living with chronic pain to be physically active.

Education will focus on helping people learn strategies to help them be more active, such as learning to set appropriate activity goals. Study participants will work with researchers to identify how to best deliver the education during the physical activity program (e.g., length of educational sessions, number of times each week, etc.). The to-be-designed program is called a physical activity + education program.
