Active Living for Pain seeks to promote active lifestyles to help individuals manage their pain. We work with community-based partner organizations and adults living with chronic pain to develop and offer sustainable, evidence-based programming for adults living with chronic pain. Our work is focused on identifying and addressing factors that help or prevent individuals from being physically active and managing their pain well.
Vision Statement
Our vision is to ensure adults living with chronic pain have equitable access to effective physical activity opportunities.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to work with community members to improve access to physical activity that is appropriate and effective for people living with chronic pain.
What We Do
Our work aims to design and offer a physical activity program in combination with training on self-regulatory skills that are key for adults to learn and use to be active for life while managing their pain. We use a co-design approach, which means we work with community members and patient partners to create a program that is impactful and sustainable. Overall, we hope to improve physical activity and self-regulatory skills among Saskatchewan adults living with moderate to severe chronic pain. We will continue to offer and evaluate the program to ensure it meets the needs of Saskatchewan adults living with chronic pain.
